(Sault Ste. Davis with a room dedication ceremony. The group commemorated his legacy by unveiling the William G. Davis Student Support Centre.

The William G. Our teams within the Centre work collaboratively to support students and assist them with the various personal and academic challenges associated with attending College.

“Congratulations to 鶹tv on the newly named William G. Davis Student Support Centre,” said Jill Dunlop, Minister of Colleges and Universities. “Premier Davis’ work in establishing the Ontario college system has helped shape the postsecondary landscape of this province. Today, Ontario is home to 24 publicly assisted colleges that provide world-class education and enrich the social and economic fabric of communities across Ontario – this would not have been possible without the contributions of Premier Davis.”

“It is with great pride that 鶹tv honours the former Premier of Ontario and long-serving Minister of Education, William G. Davis, with this room dedication. Premier Davis was a leader and visionary who founded the Ontario College system revolutionizing postsecondary education,” said Dr. Ron Common, President, 鶹tv. “We want our students and staff to remember and appreciate the immense contributions of Premier Davis and how his wisdom, foresight, and passion changed postsecondary education in our province and the positive impact it has had on past, present and future generations. We are honoured to have his name showcased in this space that is so meaningful to our students.”
